Recreation

Amusement Park?
In Crimson,  Abbgalia's first amusement park is being built which has been funded by their Lobster business.

Community Events?
Near the end of every month, the whole Abbgalian community comes together in Marshall at a big club and they have a community lobster/oyster roast. Everyone gets to enjoy their countries food!
The Abbgalian government is talking about incorporating some community sport events into the country, in the city of Crawdad. They think it would be another fun way to come together as a family and spend some good quality time together!

Physical Environment

The country of Abbgalia's weather/climate is cold within the 30s and 60s but the sun is shining so it is beautiful! During the winter it is super snowy.

The majority of the environment of Abbgalia is still developing with a lot of open land and it is going to take some time. But the capital, Kelville, is basically completely developed. There is a port and  also numerous docks, shops, and restaurants.
The agriculture of Abbgalia is not the main source of business or focus, fishing is the main business. There are 7
farms scattered across the country with cows, chicken, and two main crops: corn and wheat. There is also a big community garden in the city of Marshall with a variety of fruits and vegetables.

Religion

The major religion in Abbgalia is Catholic Christianity. Catholic Christianity is the Christian Church which is led by the Pope, the Bishop of Rome, currently His Holiness PopBenedict XVI.

5 Important Values of Catholic Christianity
  • Eucharist – The Eucharist is the foundation of all that we value, all that we do, and the focal point of our worship
  • The Self in Worship – We value worship that involves the whole self: heart, mind, the movement of the body and engagement of the senses.
  • Sacraments – We honor and embrace the sacraments of the Catholic tradition. We are inclusive in our sharing of these expressions of God’s grace.
  • Social Justice – We value both prayer and action, support the development of an informed conscience and critical thinking, and strive to see the world through the eyes of Christ.
  • Inclusiveness – We value a range of spiritual expressions and charismas while not losing sight of our catholic heritage.
The religion and government work together in the country of Abbgalia to support the people.

Art & Music

Art isn't too big of a deal in Abbgalia. Their main focus is on their fishing business. Every once in a while some old  French art is admired at the annual festival, such as Claude Monet and Paul Cezanne.

The majority of Abbgalian's really enjoy the country music of today, such as Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan and Taylor Swift. Another source of music they enjoy is some of their folk music that they sing at festivals or just as fun on the back porch!

Holidays, celebrations, festivals

Abbgalian's celebrate these main holidays: Christmas, Easter, Independence day, Mother's day, Father's day, Grandparent's day, New Year's eve & day and Lobster day.  These holidays are all important to the major religion and
country of Abbgalia.

Abbgalia is a small country but a big family and they have lots of celebrations together. Such as oyster roasts and community parties for Christmas, Independence day, and New Year's! An annual fair festival is thrown in Crimson, Abbgalia around June/July. All the local food and people come there to hear some good music and have a fun time!

Entertainment

Fishing. If you don't fish in Abbgalia, you aren't considered a true Abbgalian. Fishing is a big deal in this country. Someone at every time of the day is fishing-- it's something Abbgalian's can do for fun (And of course it's our main business).

Since the country isn't too big, the community is almost like one big family. So every once in a while, a community oyster roast is thrown with all their good foods.

Ariculture/Food

Abbgalia's agriculture is not as big of a workforce as fishing. There are only 7 major farms and they are family operated. The types of food received from these farms are milk, eggs, and some crops are corn and wheat. There is one huge, main port where the fish, lobster, crab, shrimp and oyster are exported. But their biggest export is lobster. The type of food within the country is a lot of seafood from their own capital and a little of French tradition. The French tradition was incorporated by Canada which used to control Abbgalia, until they recently became independent in May 2011.
